Privacy Policy

This page is maintained by Art As Work to explain how Makers Pass handles data for makers and organizations.

Makers Pass is operated by Art As Work. This policy describes the information the platform collects, why it is collected, and the controls available to makers and organization administrators. It is app-owner content, not an independent certification or audit.

What we collect

  • Account details — name and email used to sign in and to be identified inside your organization.
  • Membership and role — which organizations you belong to and whether you are a Maker, Club Admin, or Org Admin.
  • Training records — sessions booked, attendance, and certifications granted by Club Admins.
  • Project content — titles, descriptions, dates, collaborators, comments, and resized photos you upload.
  • Administrative activity — an audit record of changes to Spaces, Training, and Maker records, visible to Org Admins of that organization.

How it is used

Data is used to operate membership, gate equipment access on completed training, publish portfolios, and give administrators the oversight their insurers and boards expect. We do not sell personal data and we do not use project content for advertising.

Who can see what

  • Your email is visible to administrators of organizations you belong to.
  • Training records are visible to you and to your organization's administrators.
  • Projects are visible according to the visibility you choose; comments are attributed to their author.

Photos

Uploaded photos are resized in your browser before transmission and stored as WebP renditions. Original camera files are not retained on our servers.

Retention and deletion

Account and project data is retained while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and authored content by contacting your organization's administrator or Art As Work; training records may be retained by an organization where it needs them for safety recordkeeping.

Shared responsibility

Art As Work operates the Makers Pass platform. Each organization is responsible for its own membership decisions, safety policies, and what it chooses to publish. Makers are responsible for the content they upload.
